Before you call
What helps when you call
None of this is required, but it lets us bring the right materials on the first visit.
- The town or neighborhood, and the nearest cross street
- What you are seeing: a drip, a stain, missing shingles, an overflowing gutter
- When it shows up: during heavy rain, during wind, or on cold dry nights
- Roughly how old the roof is, if you know
- Whether there is a flat or low-slope section anywhere on the house
- Any photos you took from the ground, which we can ask you to send after the call
If water is coming in right now
Move what you can out of the way, put a bucket under the drip and keep people clear of any ceiling that is sagging. Do not go up on a wet roof. Then call, and we will talk through what to do until the roof can be closed up. The first-hour leak guide has more detail.
